North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics
Imagine a place where curious minds are encouraged to think bigger, to engage in new ideas and collaborate with others. At NCSSM, students find a community that allows them to embrace their passions and be who they are. The NCSSM application window is from October 15, 2015 through January 15, 2016.

Summer Experiences and Leadership Camps
University of NC Greensboro: Spartan Showcase is an open house October 24, 2015 to Juniors and Seniors Junior Day is Friday April 29, 2016. A fun way for Juniors to kick off the college search, with information about the application process and financial aid.
Summer Ventures Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics is a cost-free, state-funded program for academically talented North Carolina residents who have demonstrated interest in science and mathematics and aspire to a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). The program brings rising juniors and seniors together in a residential setting for research and intensive study. The program is currently hosted at four campuses of the university system—Appalachian State University (ASU), East Carolina University (ECU), North Carolina Central University (NCCU), and University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).

Duke Summer College for High School Students
For students currently in grades 10 or 11. Get ahead and earn college credit with academically motivated students from around the world.
Duke Summer Academy for High School Student
For students currently in grades 9-12. This program profiles personal enrichment and offers courses with a global perspective.

Duke Youth Programs
All programs seek to engage learners in innovative, interactive, transformative learning experiences. Co-curricular social and recreational activities are carefully planned and delivered to complement the instructional day. The camp “learning community” approaches learning as a shared responsibility among students, instructors, and counselors. Click here for more information.

NYU (New York University) Summer Pre-College

AGDISCOVERY- AN OUTREACH PROGRAM TO HELP STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT CAREERS IN ANIMAL SCIENCE, VETERINARY MEDICINE, AGRIBUSINESS AND PLANT PATHOLOGY. THIS 2-4 WEEK PROGRAM ALLOWS PARTICIPANTS TO LIVE ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS AND LEARN ABOUT AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE FROM UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS, PRACTICING VETERINARIANS AND PROFESSIONALS WORKING FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN AGDISCOVERY WILL GAIN EXPERIENCE THROUGH HANDS-ON LABS, WORKSHOPS, FIELD TRIPS AND OTHER GROUP AND TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES.

North Carolina Youth Leadership Legislative Assembly- is open to ALL North Carolina students, grades 9-12, and limited to 8th graders (per recommendations from school administrators) who are interested in learning more about government and the legislative process. Attendance is limited to 200 youth (on a first come-first served basis). Early registration is strongly advised.

Scholarships
QuestBridge 2016 College Prep Scholarship is offered to current Juniors. This scholarship program is designed to give high-achieving low-income 11th grade students an advantage in college admissions. www.questbridge.org/outreach-materials Application deadline is September 28, 2015.
